This is the fourth in a quartet series of abstract designs, part of my pandemic collection. I will always remember the images I created during this period, where I was, what I was thinking. My first stop after my sudden departure from Mexico was taking temporary refuge with relatives in Tupelo, Mississippi. Spring was just beginning to explode, and I was energized by the new, lush environment, so different from the dry environment of Oaxaca, Mexico.

I am a multi-media artist and craftswoman. My training includes coursework in sculpture at the Corcoran School in Washington, DC and at the Rufino Tamayo Taller in Oaxaca, Mexico, where I lived for 14 years until 2021. I've worked extensively in many genres including paper and digital collage, acrylic and oil painting, needle felting, paper mache, colored pencil, watercolor and line drawing.
