Tailor bird metal print by Lorena Cassady. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

TAILOR BIRD — Vintage illustration, from John Gould’s BIRDS OF ASIA published in 1850. Only birdwatchers and ornithologists know if this bird still exists. This is ornithology before the camera.
A small bird is perched on a branch above a detailed nest that is carefully woven into the leaves. The bird appears to be attentively watching over the nest, which contains another bird taking shelter inside.

I am a multi-media artist and craftswoman. My training includes coursework in sculpture at the Corcoran School in Washington, DC and at the Rufino Tamayo Taller in Oaxaca, Mexico, where I lived for 14 years until 2021. I've worked extensively in many genres including paper and digital collage, acrylic and oil painting, needle felting, paper mache, colored pencil, watercolor and line drawing.
