A vibrant yellow building with green trim houses a shop or restaurant, with signs and menus displayed near the entrance. The colorful facade and rustic decor suggest a lively and inviting atmosphere.

Cuisine in San Cristobal is unique, ranging from organic indigenous and European, to Middle Eastern. Ex-patriots and tourists often come from European, Middle Eastern, and sometimes African countries so it has a very different feel than Oaxaca which somewhat unfortunately has become the playground of Americans and Canadians. Like me.

I am a multi-media artist and craftswoman. My training includes coursework in sculpture at the Corcoran School in Washington, DC and at the Rufino Tamayo Taller in Oaxaca, Mexico, where I lived for 14 years until 2021. I've worked extensively in many genres including paper and digital collage, acrylic and oil painting, needle felting, paper mache, colored pencil, watercolor and line drawing.
