Vintage Book Endpaper square in brilliant hues of blue, green and maroon. The old process of marbleizing endpapers for books in the 18th and 19th centuries was a toxic and complex operation. Marbleization today is much easier, and can be done by pouring and/or contact printing with acrylic paint. Or we can use Photoshop for similar but nowhere near as artistic or subtle results. It's worth appreciating the old art. In these constructions I have played with the color and made very simple collages to enhance the original endpapers.

I am a multi-media artist and craftswoman. My training includes coursework in sculpture at the Corcoran School in Washington, DC and at the Rufino Tamayo Taller in Oaxaca, Mexico, where I lived for 14 years until 2021. I've worked extensively in many genres including paper and digital collage, acrylic and oil painting, needle felting, paper mache, colored pencil, watercolor and line drawing.
