I had the pleasure of spending the first part of the pandemic with in-laws in Tupelo, Mississippi in the Spring months of 2020. I was in a wonderland of new bird species, wildflowers, kudzu, magnolias and ugh, yes, mosquitos and giant ants. Having left Mexico, where I had lived 14 years, rather hastily because of the dire situation first outbreak of Covid, the only art supplies I brought along were my colored pencils. This is one of the results.
